The Originals Season 1 Episode 15: Official Syponsis for "Le Grand Guignol"
We don’t know about you but The Vampire Diaries spin-off certainly knows how to simultaneously regale and shock us. One second we’re observing a horde of naked werewolves strut their way onto the Mikaelsons’ property and the next we’re watching as freshly resurrected Monique murders her aunt. (Death by hemorrhage….Shudder!) Moreover, whereas all the Klaus and Rebekah torture scenes in “Long Way Back from Hell” will mostly likely leave fang fans cringing, The OriginalsSeason 1 Episode 15 will definitely leave us swooning. Why? Because we’re heading to the opera for a night of fancy folly and danger, loves!
The episode, titled “Le Grand Guignol” — which just so happens to be a Parisian theatre renowned for it’s naturalistic horror shows and amoral horror entertainment — is soaked with blood, drama, and lush vignettes from the Mikaelson’s high society past in NOLA. Strange alliances are forged and witches are taken hostage. Additionally, in more horrifying news, it seems as though Klaus ultimately discovers Rebekah and Marcel’s dark secret — namely, that they and Genevieve conspired to run him out of town by luring Mikael to the French Quarter — and he’s not happy about it at all. Joseph Morgan Previews The Originals' "Terrifying" Return and Weighs in on Klaus and Caroline's Hookup
"It's certainly more terrifying."
Don't turn off the lights before sitting down to watch tonight's episode of The Originals, its first new episode since taking a seat on the bench for the Olympics. (Boo sports!)
But be careful what you wish for as the CW hit will not be taking it easy on our favorite family of vampires, as Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) are being tortured by the vengeful witch Genevieve (Elyse Levesque). "It's slightly different to anything we've seen before. It's certainly not for the faint of heart" Joseph Morgan tells E! News of "Long Way Back From Hell."
But the torture just won't be physical as the devastating secret Rebekah and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) have been keeping from Klaus (they brought his father to New Orleans to kill him) will have a major impact on the Mikaelson family in the next three episodes.

VIDEO: Watch as Elijah shocks Hayley by taking off his shirt in tonight's episode!
"The next three episodes are all kind of part of the same story and trying to resolve the issue of this secret that was kept by Marcel and Rebekah from me, from Klaus," Morgan previews. "I felt like they're the best episodes we've done. We're just really finding our tone now and it's becoming a little more of a frightening show I think, which is good, because these are frightening creatures."
So what makes this betrayal by Rebekah so much worse than the other times she's conspired against him?"We're talking about a hundred years of lying, which is quite big," Morgan explains. "It's also because it involves they're father, I think it has more weight to it, you know. It's very, very personal, this secret. So that's what gives it more weight." More at
The Originals Sneak Peek: Mikael Arrives in the Big Easy and Klaus Seeks Revenge on Rebekah
Daddy’s home!
Following this week’s big reveal on The Originals – Rebekah and Marcel were responsible for bringing Mikael to New Orleans in 1919 — next Tuesday’s episode (8/7c on The CW) shows how the betrayal went down.

New shots from the flashback episode show Papa Mikaelson, family photo in hand, approaching Marcel for intel on his estranged son. And as we all know, he’s not interested in tossing the ol’ pigskin around.
It looks like we’ll also see some tender moments — and some not-so-tender moments — between Elijah and Celeste. Judging by her dual portrayers, it’s also possible we’ll have some vision action going on.

Lastly, this batch of photos contains present-day shots of Klaus — looking far more vertical than we last saw him — with a massive (White Oak?) stake at the ready. Needless to say, Rebekah had better watch her back. More at
