Mädchen Amick Gets Sexy With Freddie Prinze Jr. on Witches of East End

Life's a bitch when you're a witch. This Sunday's episode of Lifetime's Witches of East End (10/9c) finds the all-sorceress Beauchamp clan in emotional turmoil. Mom Joanna (Julia Ormond) is facing charges for a murder committed by a demonic lookalike while daughters Freya (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) and Ingrid (Rachel Boston) are in a heartbreaking crisis over men.
But the hour is pretty much a lark for Mädchen Amick's madcap character, Aunt Wendy, who morphs into her black-cat persona in order to infiltrate the apartment of Leo, a nerdy entomologist played by Freddie Prinze Jr.
"Wendy is after a rare butterfly she needs for one of her magic spells," Amick tells TV Guide Magazine. "Leo is one of those adorable geeks who is uncomfortable with himself but at one point he takes off his shirt and Wendy is, like, 'Whoa! Damn! I didn't know that was under there!'"

The witch and the bug man have instant chemistry — of course, it helps that Wendy emerges from her cat form and is stark naked when they meet — and they end up in the sack. "It starts out flirty but then Wendy realizes she really likes this guy, which takes her quite by surprise," Amick says. "She's all about keeping things on the surface. She does not like these feelings!" See more

Exclusive Interview: Rachel Boston on A RING BY SPRING and Season 2 of WITCHES OF EAST END

Actress Rachel Boston’s career is going through an enchanted phase right now. Not only does the Tennessee-born actress play hereditary magic user Ingrid Beauchamp in Lifetime’s THE WITCHES OF EAST END – Season 2 is about to begin production – but she also stars in Hallmark’s A RING BY SPRING, which airs on Hallmark Channel.
Boston, whose credits include AMERICAN DREAMS, THE EX LIST, (500) DAYS OF SUMMER and IN PLAIN SIGHT, is present at Hallmark’s banquet for their producers, stars and the Television Critics Association. The actress is seated at a table with her RING cast mate Stefanie Powers.Boston turns her chair sideways to chat about both her TV movie and series gigs.

ASSIGNMENT X: Does A RING BY SPRING have a slight supernatural element to it?
RACHEL BOSTON: Yes, it does!
AX: So do you feel like you’re sort of immersed in the world of precognition and spells at this point?
BOSTON: I guess that magical element I do hope to carry into a lot of my work after my WITCHES experience [laughs], but [in RING] I play a young woman.  A psychic, played by Stefanie Powers, tells me that I’m going receive a ring by spring or I will never marry. And that just lights a little fire under my soul to go out and put myself out there and consider why I haven’t been married, if I do want a partner in life and what life path I want to go down.

Rachel Boston Talks Finding Love in Hallmark Channel's A Ring By Spring

In her new Hallmark Channel Original Movie A Ring By Spring, premiering tonight at 7/6c, Witches of East End star Rachel Boston is conjuring up a different kind of magic: hope.
When a psychic tells Caryn Briggs (Boston) that she’ll spend the rest of her life unmarried if she doesn’t get engaged by spring, she suddenly finds herself on a journey through her past relationships to figure out what went wrong.
“One thing I certainly relate to is that we can’t change the choices we’ve made in the past,” Boston, who also produced the movie, tells TVLine. “She’s been weaving a life with the choices she’s made, and now she’s trying to open her heart so she can move into the future.”
Though that future remains unclear — and, at times, seems improbable — Boston says Caryn manages to hold onto hope through it all.
“Hope is, I think, just a great guide,” Boston says. “To wake up and strive for that spirit of hopefulness is what Caryn is finally able to achieve once she works through it all.” See more
