No one could have predicted that last week's episode of "The Originals" would be Claire Holt's last show as a featured cast member. However, now that her character Rebekah Mikaelson has officially left New Orleans, the series will continue on without her.
In the last episode, "Farewell to Storyville," Klaus spared his sister Rebekah's life and she said her final goodbyes to the French Quarter. According to BuzzFeed, it was Holt's decision for her character to leave the show. Although she will not be a series regular anymore, fans still hope that she will return for future guest appearances. Inside sources claim that Holt never intended to play Rebekah for as long as she did.
Now that Rebekah has left New Orleans for good, the Mikaelson brothers will be left to run the French Quarter, but it appears that Elijah is worried that Klaus is letting their regime squander away. As a result, Elijah will take matters into his own hands when the series returns on March 18.
During the upcoming episode, which is titled "Moon Over Bourbon Street," Elijah will throw an extravagant party in an effort to bring the city together after receiving a show of support from a beautiful woman named Francesca. He will also share an intimate moment with Hayley, while Klaus will make a tempting offer to Jackson. Later, Klaus will get close with Genevieve, and the two may even share a steamy kiss, reports WetPaint. But, knowing Klaus, he probably has an ulterior motive, warns TVLine. See more
